About the team

The Workflow Automation development team is looking for an Integration Engineer to join our Qlik Automate product development team. This role will specifically focus on connectivity development to external applications.

Qlik Automate plays a central role in automating and orchestrating inside Qlik Sense and allows customers to integrate seamlessly with 3rd party applications. We currently have a suite of 80+ internal and external connectors and plan on growing this in the future.

Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for this role:

• 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong experience in Web APIs: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, oAuth, pagination.
• Experience in data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Postman, SOAP UI,…
• Knowledge of common network protocols: HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, etc.
• Experience with iPaaS platforms or ETL is a plus.
• Coding/scripting background, preferably in PHP (or willingness to learn PHP).
• Proficient in SQL queries and have a good understanding of relational data models.
• Strong communication skills
• Proven experience building strong relationships with stakeholders
• Knowledge of Qlik products (Qlik Sense, Qlik Talend Data Integration, etc.) is a plus.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Become an expert on Qlik Automate and other Qlik Sense products with a specific focus on connectivity.
• Maintain and improve our 80+ internal and external API connectors and help us grow our connector suite for enterprise customer use cases.
• Become an expert in Qlik’s APIs for products such as Qlik Sense, Qlik AutoMl, Qlik Talend Data Integration, Qlik Answers …
• Research external platforms (e.g., CRM systems like Salesforce, AI/ML platforms,…) and API documentation to design and implement the best connectivity approach.
• Perform manual and automated testing and write documentation for our connectors.
• Collaborate with other connector team members and help drive continuous improvement in the team.
• Coordinate closely with our stakeholders in product management and related development teams about delivery timelines and risks.
