Description

As a member of the Portfolio Experience team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining solutions that support our platform. You’ll join a team of backend engineers to solve challenging problems in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:

.Significant professional Java experience. (Minimum of 4 years)
.Experience building or integrating with REST APIs. OR
.Experience in the full lifecycle of micro-services: design, development, maintenance, and integration.
.Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores and triggers, including but not limited to, MSSQL, Postgres, MySQL OR
.Strong understanding of SQL and experience with queries and stored procedures.
.Experience with the automated build process, unit testing, and source code analysis tools
.Focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on – completes tasks quickly and thoroughly
.Excellent work ethic and communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
.Excellent communication skills in English Language

 

Ideal candidates also have:

. Experience with ETLs and data pipelines.
. Experience with big-data, data warehouses, and OLAP solutions like athena or redshift
. Experience using cloud platforms like AWS
. Working knowledge of workflow platforms like AWS Step

Job responsibilities

What you’d be doing:

. Use modern Java patterns and frameworks (SpringBoot) to build and test APIs with the support of your squad.
. Collaborate with Product Managers, Senior Engineers, and vendor integration teams to build feature-rich RESTful experiences.
. Communicate plans, architectural decisions, features, and processes through documentation and demonstrations.
. Define key metrics to measure and find ways to optimize the performance of applications.
. Participate in peer programming and code reviews to improve your quality of code and those on your squad.
. Document and share your design decisions with your squad to identify any potential improvements.
