Description

The client company is a well known automotive OEM in the Gothenburg area. The overall objective of this project is to secure software quality on the client’s Android based Infotainment system in the Navigation and Personalization areas. This includes full functional regression testing ahead of software releases and regression testing on weekly baselines on the main development track. Testing is expected to be performed manually on Infotainment subsets and in vehicle.

The scope includes regression testing on several of the client’s car platforms. Depending on the release and car program, the test scope may change depending on car model, variant and market.

Requirements

Previous experience from automotive testing is expected. Specifically, experience with automotive Android infotainment systems is needed.

Strong expertise in Java/Kotlin software development, preferably in the automotive domain.

European driving license (B-level) is mandatory.

Experience from using tools such as CANoe is meritorious.

Be able to work full time onsite from the client’s office in Gothenburg.

Experienced with tools like CarWeaver & SystemWeaver

Job responsibilities

The primary work of the teams is to perform manual regression testing on weekly baselines and release branches, ensuring customer use-cases and functional requirements are fulfilled. Input to test scope will primarily come from CarWeaver (SystemWeaver) with test procedures, use-cases and requirements but also from teams internal regression plans for certain platforms.

The team will:

• Perform regression testing on weekly baselines
• Perform regression testing on Infotainment releases towards different car programs
• Upload test verdicts towards the client’s centralized message bus
• Report test verdicts for each product area at Infotainment internal reporting in Confluence
• Plan test activities together with the Product Owners for above-mentioned product areas.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, allowing for quick feedback loops and to be aware of changes being introduced on weekly baselines.

The team is expected to utilize shared test objects and update software as required following test object guidelines. Testing will be carried out on both vehicles and Infotainment subsets, depending on scope and planned together with Product Owners.
