Description

In this role, you will be involved in building professional microservice-
oriented applications in a dynamic environment, where you have the chance
to participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle,
including the design and architectural decisions, and to focus on software
quality through peer reviews, refactoring, continuous integration and
deployment.
You will be part of our project teams and work under Agile 
methodology.
The main project you will work on is built as a suite of small services, each
running in its own process and are independently deployable. The main
purpose of these microservices is to store relevant information and statistics
for the eBikes and then expose the computed information to other client
applications.

 

The project consists of a set of interconnected desktop and web applications
with the goal of improving the client’s customers experience after they buy a
bike. They aim to provide maintenance advice, step-by-step instructions on
maintenance and service operations, creating service history and issue
reports, efficient firmware updates and configuration of firmware packages.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on Java development experience
Strong knowledge of Java Core & OOP
Good experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
Experience with Spring Security, Spring Data.
Good experience in Microservices Architecture and REST API
development.
Good knowledge of JPA, Hibernate and SQL/NoSQL databases
Good experience in Unit Testing & Integration Testing with JUnit,
Mockito.
Passionate about writing clean code and well-designed applications
Experience using Git, GitHub for source control.
Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS).
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including agile
development and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and advocate for emerging
technologies that will enhance the existing environment
Good communications skills: ability to explain technical issues to
both technical and non-technical audiences
Good communication in English

Nice to have:

• Experience in working with asynchronous communication patterns, including message queues (SQS, EventBridge) and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Quarkus for lightweight and fast applications.
• Familiarity with GraalVM for optimizing Java applications.

Job responsibilities

Perform requirements analysis & understanding – help the customer refine the requirements to make sure everyone agrees with what needs to be implemented (Development Team, QA Team & Customer)

Implement features based on requirements provided by the customer
and groomed together with the customer
Design and architecture related decisions
Promote coding guidelines, clean code, unit testing and other best
practices
Help maintain code quality through code reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features
Take initiative; engineer best practices in terms of coding standards,
code refactoring and code performance
Perform debugging and bug fixing
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment strategies.
Contribute to the software development process improvements
