Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering roles.
• Strong experience with iOS testing using Xcode and macOS environments.
• Hands-on experience with test automation (mobile automation frameworks).
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with build-to-device testing and validation on real hardware.
• Proficiency in JIRA for defect tracking and test workflow management.
• Ability to validate complex, data-rich features and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Nice to Have

• Experience testing mission-critical or safety-related applications (aviation, navigation, defense, medical).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Experience with performance, reliability, or stability testing on mobile devices.
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum development processes.
• Exposure to geospatial, mapping, or navigation-based applications.

Job responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Automated Test Engineer (mobile/iOS) with 6+ years of experience to join the quality engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the correctness, stability, and reliability of a complex iOS application used in real-world aviation operations.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to design, automate, and execute test strategies across mobile builds, devices, and environments.

• Design, create, and maintain automated and manual test cases for iOS (iPad and iPhone) applications.
• Perform verification of correctness for new features, bug fixes, and system changes.
• Execute testing across Xcode, macOS, and physical devices (build-to-device validation).
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for mobile testing.
• Participate in requirements analysis to identify test coverage gaps and edge cases early.
• Validate application behavior across different configurations, data sets, and user workflows.
• Investigate defects, provide clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with developers to drive resolution.
• Track and manage defects and test progress using JIRA workflows.
• Ensure high quality standards across releases, including regression, smoke, and release validation testing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and best practices.
