Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join ourteam.
In this role, you will lead and collaborate with the DevSecOps team to complete the 2026 GCPSecurity, IAM & Platform Hardening Initiative. This critical project aims to strengthen oursecurity posture by remediating IAM gaps, reducing public exposure, and establishingconsistent patching practices in GCP. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in completing ourmigration to a modern Kubernetes cluster, securing the foundation of our environment beforescaling workloads further.
Beyond this initiative, you will collaborate with development teams to streamline softwaredelivery pipelines, automate release processes, and drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code(IaC). You will be a key advisor on building and deploying software following industry bestpractices to ensure the reliability and availability of our systems.
An Engineer with a DevOps Speciality at Third Bridge promotes and encourages a collaborativeculture and continuous improvement within the organisation. They advise on the process ofdelivering software through automation and the adoption of tooling to assist the overall softwaredevelopment cycle, providing guidance on building and deploying software and infrastructurefollowing industry best practices.
They work together with other roles in the organisation to improve and evolve software deliveryprocesses to meet the ever-changing business needs. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer role isan essential part of the team, advising, guiding, and helping teams deliver value to the businesswhile ensuring quality standards and maintaining the security and reliability of all the systemsinvolved. Senior DevSecOps Engineers encourage autonomy and shared responsibility indelivering software by providing documented and standardised processes and tools.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance andstreamline our development and deployment processes.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on configuring, setting up, and
  maintaining cloud infrastructure and tools.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as CircleCi, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, or
  similar
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation concepts
• Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to write code, tests, documentation and other artefacts necessary to
  deliver solutions to time, quality and budget constraints
• Demonstrable ability to work as a part of small and varying teams of individuals with diverse
  backgrounds, skills and levels of experience
• Demonstrable ability to build trust and relationships at appropriate levels
•  Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Amazon Web Services
  AWS
• Relevant Cloud Certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).

Job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Initiative Leadership: Drive the 2026 GCP Security and Platform Hardening project fromplanning to completion.
Tool Setup and Management: Deploy, configure, and manage tools and services such asCI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), version control systems, configurationmanagement tools, and monitoring solutions.
Maintain and keep the software delivery tooling up-to-date.
Advise and guide other engineers on infrastructure, cloud-related topics, CI/CD topics, andmonitoring and observability best practices. Providing guidance and best practices drivesengineering productivity and reliability practices across the wider team.
Work on automating tasks and workflows to improve the efficiency of people and processes –leading to faster, more reliable deployment. Find pain points and bottlenecks in thedevelopment lifecycle to find ways to automate processes to relieve the pressure on theengineering teams.
Develop and enhance automation scripts and workflows for routine tasks, deployments, andinfrastructure provisioning using tools and technologies like Ansible, Terraform, and Python.Automate infrastructure following best IaC (Infrastructure as Code) practises, providingreusable modules that can be quickly adopted by the engine.
Evolve the platform and how we deliver our services by developing and helping the widerteam adopt our cloud infrastructure, observability and CI/CD offering.
Design, write and deliver software that improves the lives of the engineers and the scalabilityof our platform.
Ability to influence and introduce change into development teams. This might involveintroducing new tooling, new processes, or new ways of working to improve developerproductivity and scale.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, andprocedures for the cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencygains. Propose and implement solutions to enhance the overall infrastructure and toolset.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and conducttroubleshooting to ensure high availability and optimal performance. Implement necessaryfixes and improvements.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including accesscontrols, encryption, etc. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
