Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Senior GenAI Engineer to join the MA (Micro Automation) project. This role focuses on rapid experimentation, validation of GenAI-driven automation concepts, and delivery of a functional MVP that demonstrates clear business value. The emphasis is on feasibility, correctness, and practical impact rather than full-scale production readiness.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and GenAI orchestration patterns, combined with solid software engineering fundamentals. This role is centered on rapid experimentation and the implementation of a Hybrid Extraction Engine that processes both text and visuals to ensure 100% requirement capture. You will work within an Azure-based ecosystem to build a RAG-powered solution that leverages historical knowledge to prefill technical answers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-6+ years of commercial software development experience, with at least 1-2 years focused specifically on GenAI and LLM orchestration.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.
  • LLM Expertise: Deep understanding of LLMs way of working and prompt engineering techniques for structured data extraction.
  • Cloud: Hands-on experience with the Azure Ecosystem (Azure OpenAI Service, AI Search).
  • Document Intelligence: Experience in processing complex PDFs, including tables, images, diagrams, and non-standardized layouts.
  • Communication: Fluent English and the ability to explain technical AI trade-offs to stakeholders clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Vision-Language Models (VLM) for extracting requirements from technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and advanced RAG techniques (e.g., hybrid search, re-ranking).
  • Prior experience in industrial automation or RFQ/Quotation process projects.

Job responsibilities

  • Implement Core GenAI Workflows: Build and optimize the Hybrid Extraction Engine using text-based chunking and visual/image clipping for complex RFQ parsing.
  • RAG Development: Design and maintain a vector-based knowledge base to enable „knowledge-grounded“ answer proposals from historical data.
Prompt Engineering & Orchestration: Develop and refine complex prompt chains for requirement extraction and normalization into standardized formats.
  • Quality & Reliability: Implement „Reliability Gating“ (Confidence Scores) to flag low-confidence AI outputs for human review.
