Our client developes Operation Control Centers for numerous Rail end-users.

Requirements

As a Solution Integrator within the Solution IVV Team, you insure the seamless integration, configuration, and validation of subsystems (e.g., SCADA, ATS, CCTV, PAS, PIS, telecom, …) into a unified and operational solution tailored to the needs of our customer of the rail domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement, test and integrate solutions, and ensure the quality, scalability, reliability, and performance of our products and solutions.

Technical Skills

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts, Rancher.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Ansible (installation, usage, and modifying roles) or Puppet.
  • Operating Systems: Strong command of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), including service management, storage, SSH, permissions, and firewalls.
  • Networking Basis: Solid understanding of IP addressing, routing, firewalls, and protocols (Ping, Tracert, UDP/datagram loss).
  • Software Services & Middleware: Experience with Message Queuing systems (MQTT, RabbitMQ, or Kafka) and HTTP/REST APIs.
  • Data Management: Ability to explore and work with databases like PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
  • IT Fundamentals: Knowledge of LDAP, FQDN, DNS, AD, and PKI/Certificates.
  • Virtualization: Familiarity with Proxmox for managing environments (KVM, LXC).

Testing & QA Expertise

  • Log Analysis: Advanced ability to read, interpret, and trace system logs to diagnose complex issues.
  • IVV Methodology: Mastering test engineering principles, including performance and safety validation.
  • Version Control: Hands-on experience with GIT for configuration control.

Soft Skills & Domain Knowledge

  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking to troubleshoot and address complex integration challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Set up and manage representative test platform (mix of real equipment and simulators) mimicking the customer environment (with support of IT specialist + Sub-systems expert)
  • End-to-End Debug
  • Guarantee the platform is up and running (using supervision/monitoring capacity)
  • Integrate diverse subsystems (software and hardware) into a cohesive platform
  • Deploy applications using CD technics
  • Establish and maintain the Solution configuration for the IVV platform and guarantee consistency with Sub-systems configuration
  • Configure interfaces with external systems (real or simulated)
  • Define and execute integration tests based on operational scenarios
  • Contribute to “standard” IVV Team tasks (see IVVQ Engineer role)
  • Drive investigation process for IVV Platform incident. Manage first level of incident analysis and conduct further investigation up to resolution with SMEs (Subject Matter Expert)
  • Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in Integration activities.
  • Be ready for frequent travel
