Description

We are looking for Technical Lead who will be responsible for coordinating perception data annotation delivery, managing stakeholder communication, and ensuring technical readiness of perception datasets within the Volvo ADAS in-cabin perception program.
The role acts as a bridge between annotation operations, data collection teams, and internal perception engineering teams, while also owning technical aspects of data processing, infrastructure orchestration, and dataset pipeline reliability.
This position combines hands-on senior engineering expertise with delivery leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• Experience in the related field 5+ years
• Strong Python skills
• Solid SQL skills for dataset metadata querying and validation
• Experience handling large-scale video or sensor datasets
• Containerization/orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes
• Understanding of ROS2 ecosystem
• Experience with Databricks + Azure
• Understanding of dataset versioning strategies, data lineage tracking, training dataset curation workflows

Job responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines for cabin perception datasets
• Translating perception team requirements into clear annotation tasks and dataset specifications
• Enable scalable dataset preparation workflows using: Python-based processing services,  SQL-driven metadata management, containerized workloads
• Deploy and maintain annotation support services and dataset tools using Docker/Kubernets
• Work with ROS2 data streams/bag files to prepare perception-ready video sequences
• Support dataset transformation workflows in Databricks and Azure environments
• Direct and coordinate the daily work of 2 data annotators
• Plan annotation batches and dataset releases
• Conduct annotation review sessions and acceptance validation
