Description
Our project is a large and complex rental system for corporate clients, operating on a global scale and supporting major construction companies. The system includes multiple business-critical components and generates millions of CHF per month. GlobalLogic has been the primary vendor for over 5 years, working in close collaboration. The team supports the IT infrastructure responsible for tool rental worldwide for a leading provider based in Switzerland. We work with the SAP platform as well as middleware based on Java microservices.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in classical ABAP development, including experience with S/4HANA (ideally within the SAP SD module).
- High-quality coding and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
- Experience with the Enhancement Framework in the SD area: user exits, customer exits, BADIs, pricing routines, and copy controls.
- Strong classical ABAP skills, including best practices, dependencies, dialog programming, OOP, modularization, integration methods, performance optimization, debugging, and clean code.
- Experience with modern ABAP syntax, CDS views, and OData.
- Understanding of and interest in new SAP technologies (BTP, RAP, CAP, Fiori, SAP Public Cloud); experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of business processes in SAP SD and related modules.
- Readiness to deep dive into business context and processes.
- Communicate effectively in English (at least upper-intermediate level).
Job responsibilities
- Support existing solutions in the SAP S/4HANA system and continuously improve them by implementing new features and functionalities.
- Apply strong knowledge of classical ABAP development, including object-oriented programming and bug fixing.
- Work with modern SAP technologies such as CDS views, RAP, and Fiori applications, as well as integrations built using OData v2 and v4.
- Contribute to projects in these areas or demonstrate willingness to learn through self-study; participate in internal learning programs supporting development in new SAP technologies.
- Work in an Agile environment and actively participate in end-to-end business and technical discussions.
- Take ownership of final technical solutions in collaboration with SAP consultants.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business teams, IT, and technology vendors.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, strategic company program.
