Data platform is a strategic cloud-native platform developed for an german OEM to standardize and accelerate the deployment of AI, analytics, and digital services across the enterprise. Built on Microsoft Azure, the data platform provides a modular, scalable, and secure foundation for delivering DataOps, ML workflows, and self-service environments to internal teams and partners.
It enables:
Unified infrastructure provisioning across business units
Automation of cloud resource deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Bicep)
Integration of services like Azure ML, Databricks, OpenAI, AI Search, and Power BI/Fabric
Fine-grained access control using Entra ID, Managed Identities, and Service Principals
Full support for multi-environment compliance, secure networking, and cost transparency
This acts as the core delivery backbone for AI-driven innovation, enabling rapid onboarding, operational consistency, and secure collaboration across teams.

Requirements

Contribute to the development and integration of core services for provisioning, access governance, and workspace lifecycle management within a big data platform. Collaborate closely with architecture and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, and automated solutions in the Azure ecosystem.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain core logic for a big data project, managing onboarding, configuration, and workspace automation.
Build robust, testable backend services using Python (e.g., FastAPI), integrated with Azure services such as ADLS, AAD, and Service Principals.
Automate cloud infrastructure using Pulumi (Python) in collaboration with Cloud Architects.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to support continuous integration, deployment, and validation workflows.
Integrate with tools like Kong Gateway, Power BI / Fabric, Coverity, and BlackDuck for routing, monitoring, and vulnerability scanning.
Support access governance mechanisms such as managed identities, secret rotation, and RBAC through API-driven automation.
Help enforce compliance and observability standards by implementing logging, alerting, and monitoring scripts.
Collaborate with other agile product teams in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and actively contribute to workshops, communities of practice, and other sessions as a representative of the team

Requirements
5+ years of experience in Python development, ideally in enterprise or cloud-native environments
Proficient in building backend APIs and microservices (preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks)
Solid understanding of Azure services and infrastructure integration (storage, identity, networking)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi preferred; Bicep or Terraform acceptable)
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, secure code practices, and automated testing
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams focused on platform enablement and infrastructure reuse
