Tableau Developer & Designer – Design and delivery of secure, high- performance analytics solutions using Tableau to support banking/financial decision- making. This role partners with product, risk, compliance, and engineering teams to transform complex financial data into trusted insights while ensuring regulatory compliance, data accuracy, and scalability.

• Tableau Development & Visualization – Design and develop executive, operational, and regulatory dashboards using Tableau Cloud
• Create visually intuitive, finance-grade dashboards for revenue, payments, transactions, fraud, risk, and customer analytics
• Strong experience designing and managing a semantic layer that abstracts complex financial data into trusted, reusable, and business-friendly metrics for Tableau dashboards. Proven ability to ensure metric consistency, governance, and performance across enterprise analytics.
• Apply data storytelling and UX best practices tailored to financial stakeholders
• Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and enterprise usage
• Financial Data Modeling & Analysis:
– Work with transactional, ledger, payments, and customer data from cloud data warehouses like Snowflake
– Develop advanced SQL for aggregations, window functions, and financial metrics
– Ensure accuracy of KPIs such as GMV, revenue, margin, chargebacks, fraud rates, and SLAs
– Validate financial data against source systems and reconciliation reports
• Establish Tableau development standards, dashboard templates, and naming conventions
• Act as the Tableau SME and visualization authority within the FinTech organization
• Guide best practices for financial reporting and KPI definition
• Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into scalable BI solutions
• Design and maintain a business-centric semantic layer that standardizes financial KPIs such as revenue, GMV, net margin, chargebacks, fraud rate, CAC, and LTV
• Translate complex transactional and ledger data into clean, analyst-ready data models for Tableau consumption
• Partner with Finance, Risk, and Data Engineering teams to define, validate, and document KPIs
• Implement single source of truth (SSOT) for metrics across Tableau workbooks
• Minimize workbook-level calculations by pushing logic into the semantic layer
• Tableau Certification (Certified Professional)
• Experience with payments, lending, trading, or banking platforms
• Good to have experience with DBT models and DBT semantic layer
• Good to have Tableau Pulse expierence
• Performance Optimization:
− Optimize extracts vs live connections based on data freshness requirements
− Reduce dashboard latency through:
• Pre-aggregated semantic tables
• Efficient calculations
• Data source filters
• Monitor query performance and Tableau Server usage
− Business Impact:
• Reduced metric discrepancies across Finance and Product dashboards
• Improved executive trust in Tableau reporting
• Faster dashboard development through reusable semantic models
• Lower dependency on ad-hoc SQL and manual reconciliations
