Description
GlobalLogic is seeking an experienced HD Maps Trainer to design, deliver and evaluate training programs focused on high-definition map production workflows. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HD mapping technologies, ADAS and autonomous driving ecosystems, coupled with strong instructional design and facilitation skills.
This role is critical in building domain expertise within the production team, ensuring adherence to standardized processes, and driving continuous skill enhancement for editors, moderators, and quality analysts. The trainer will play a key role in aligning training strategies with client expectations and project goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HD mapping production, GIS editing, or similar domains.
- Prior experience in training, instructional design, or technical coaching roles.
- Proficiency in HD map production tools (e.g., QGIS, Sausegen, or proprietary client tools).
- Strong understanding of traffic regulations, cartography, and mapping standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple training projects and adapt to fast-changing requirements.
- Must possess any graduation degree (Must have Provisional Certificate & Consolidated Marks Memo)
- Must be willing to work from office & in rotational shifts (5 Working Days & 2 Week Offs)
- Must be ready to join immediately
Job responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging training across the HD map production lifecycle covering everything from project setup and feature attribution to delivery and defect resolution.
- Lead impactful onboarding, create tailored learning paths by role and skill level, and drive ongoing training to meet evolving client and project needs.
- Develop clear, effective training materials manuals, SOPs, e-learning, and assessments to boost knowledge retention and on-the-job performance.
- Provide targeted feedback, track learning outcomes, and report measurable improvements in quality and productivity.
- Deliver expert training in HD mapping domains including road features, traffic signs, source alignment, and defect handling.
- Train teams on advanced tools like Sausegen and QGIS, ensuring alignment with global standards and client expectations. Support knowledge transfer for new tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align training with business goals. Stay ahead of industry trends and use insights from audits and feedback to continuously refine training programs, tools, and processes for maximum impact.
