Description
Our customer, a leading top-tier Mobile Network Operator (MNO), is actively pioneering the next evolution of telecommunications by researching and implementing Digital Twins for telecom networks. As part of a strategic initiative to achieve Level 4 and Level 5 Autonomous Networks, this project focuses on assembling an elite team of domain experts and consultants to explore emerging opportunities, run feasibility studies, and design cutting-edge architectures and industry best practices. By bridging real-time network telemetry, 5G Core architecture, and predictive digital twin modeling, the team will lay the foundational framework for zero-touch automation, intelligent traffic orchestration, and fully autonomous telecom operations.

Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking 5G Core & Digital Twin Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of next-generation telecommunications networks. In this role, you will bridge advanced 5G standalone (SA) core architectures with digital twin technology—creating real-time virtual replicas of network topologies to drive predictive testing, traffic simulation, closed-loop automation, and network lifecycle optimization.
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Telco Cloud system deployment, testing, and network function orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenStack, CNFs/VNFs).
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect with deep expertise in 5G Core (SBA, AMF, UPF, SMF, NRF), 4G EPC, and IMS environments.
- Demonstrated experience or strong working knowledge of Digital Twin frameworks, simulation platforms, network emulation tools, data pipeline integration, and predictive network modeling.
- Standards & Protocols: In-depth knowledge of industry standards including 3GPP (5G SA/NSA), ETSI (NFV/MANO), CNCF, TM Forum, IETF, and MEF-LSO.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Strong strategic thinking, relationship-building, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Job responsibilities
- Lead the solution architecture and technical strategy for 5G Core (5GC) and Digital Twin network deployments, integrating real-time telemetry, predictive analytics, and network emulation.
- Architect real-time Digital Twin models for 5G Core networks to enable traffic modeling, anomaly detection, automated testing, and zero-touch network management.
- Define end-to-end cloud-native architecture guidelines aligning 5G Service-Based Architecture (SBA) with digital twin simulation platforms.
- Serve as the technical authority across project lifecycles: software installation, configuration design, NFV/CNF orchestration, component integration, and service migration.
- Define comprehensive User Acceptance Test (UAT) frameworks, sandbox validation suites, and digital twin simulation scenarios.
- Identify risk profiles, capacity constraints, and system impacts of new network functions using digital twin predictive modeling prior to live rollouts.
- Support pre-sales engineering, solution analysis, technical cost estimation, and RFP/RFI responses for 5G and digital twin transformation projects.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams, customer workshops, and technical discussions with both C-level stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Manage customer requirements, technical risk recommendations, and solution evolution roadmaps from pre-sales to post-deployment handover.
- Identify expansion and add-on sales opportunities by leveraging digital twin insights to optimize customer network performance.
- Mentor cross-functional engineering teams, foster knowledge sharing, and drive technical best practices in telco cloud and digital twinning.
- Collaborate closely with 3rd-party vendors, system integrators, and open-source communities.
