We are partnering with a global leader in medical devices to develop the next-generation cutting-edge tool used during hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Client provides surgeons with real-time visualization and measurement capabilities by superimposing virtual tools on X-ray images, enabling precise clinical decision-making. The product will help surgers to plan and to validate the procedures by analyzing 2D images from X-Rays, CT, MRI and building 3D objects.

Our goal is to enhance the product’s capabilities, improving workflow efficiency and advancing surgical outcomes. This project will involve refining requirements, designing intuitive interfaces, and integrating advanced visualization tools to meet the highest clinical standards. We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Engineering Project Manager with a proven track record in technical project management. The ideal candidate will possess:

– A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience, including at least 4-5 years in a management capacity. Experience in managing a team of at least 20 people directly or overseeing 2-3 accounts concurrently is essential.

– Strong knowledge of QMS principles and their application in software development for regulated industries. Knowledge of software verification and validation methodologies and their application in a regulated environment.

– A strong academic foundation, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, is highly desirable.

– Prior experience developing software for medical devices and a strong understanding of relevant regulations, familiarity with medical imaging modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI), image processing techniques, and visualization concepts (2D/3D rendering) is a big plus.

– A robust grasp of modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, management principles, and techniques. Demonstrated ability in establishing and adapting project processes, identifying and mitigating risks, understanding financial implications, and swiftly addressing challenges.

– Possession of a PMP or related certification is highly advantageous.

– The role demands a high degree of autonomy, versatility, and proactivity. A strong focus on delivering results. A commitment to fulfilling obligations and the willingness to take initiative are crucial.

– Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills are essential. Advanced proficiency in English for business and technical contexts is required.

Engineering Manager who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day project planning on one hand and execution on the other. This position will include driving technical leadership, project planning and management reporting, as well as business development for this entire opportunity.

– Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team from scratch.

– Plan, execute, and deliver project milestones on time and within budget. Establish efficient development processes and maintain high code quality.

– Lead the team in adhering to medical device regulations and quality standards.

– Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout development.

– Drive Cross-functional collaboration, work closely with product, clinical, and regulatory teams.

Essentially, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for building the team, setting the technical direction, ensuring successful development, and navigating the regulatory landscape to bring this innovative medical device to life.
