Serve as the technical leader within a Director of Engineering’s organization for the design and development of a greenfield, customer-facing platform, helping establish backend architecture, engineering standards, and long-term backend technology direction.
Partner closely with the Director of Engineering to align technical execution with delivery priorities, staffing capacity, roadmap commitments, and engineering team outcomes.
Collaborate with Principal Engineers to translate enterprise architecture, platform standards, and long-term technology strategy into scalable backend implementation patterns.

Architect highly scalable, secure, and resilient backend services that support high-volume user interactions, complex business workflows, and seamless integration across enterprise and third-party systems.
Lead the implementation of modern Identity and Access Management solutions, integrating enterprise Identity Providers such as Okta preferred, Azure AD, Ping Identity, or Auth0 using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and MFA.
Partner with product, security, infrastructure, Principal Engineers, and engineering leadership to drive technical direction, cloud adoption, observability, performance optimization, and delivery of a modern digital platform.
Provide day-to-day technical leadership for backend engineers, guiding design decisions, code quality, technical execution, and engineering best practices.
