Knox Administrator – Mobile Device Management

As a Senior MDM Systems Administrator, you will be the primary architect and guardian of our enterprise mobile ecosystem. You will lead the administration of our Samsung Knox platform to ensure that the MSI device fleet remains secure, compliant, and highly functional. This role sits at the intersection of security operations and clinical enablement, requiring a mix of technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
5+ years in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) or Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
Expert-level knowledge of Samsung Knox Suite (Knox Manage, E-FOTA, KME).
Deep understanding of Android Enterprise frameworks and OEM-specific configurations.
Ability to translate complex technical requirements for non-technical clinical stakeholders.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for critical MDM system outages.
Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated environment (HIPAA/GDPR compliance) is added advantage.
Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automating MDM tasks via APIs.
Certifications (Good to have): Samsung Knox Certified Associate/Expert or equivalent industry certifications (CompTIA Mobility+, AirWatch/Intune certifications).

Knox Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of the Samsung Knox platform, including user roles, access permissions, and organizational unit mapping.
Profile Engineering: Create, test, and deploy sophisticated device profiles and MDM policies (e.g., KME, Knox Service Plugin) to enforce security settings and configurations tailored to MSI requirements.
Compliance Enforcement: Monitor device fleets for policy drift; automate remediation for non-compliant devices to maintain a hardened security posture.
Application Lifecycle: Manage the deployment, updates, and retirement of mobile applications across the fleet via Knox.
OS/Firmware Strategy: Orchestrate staged firmware-over-the-air (E-FOTA) and OS update rollouts to minimize clinical downtime while ensuring latest security patches are applied.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor device health telemetry and generate actionable reports on fleet performance, battery health, and connectivity trends.
New Product Introduction (NPI): Partner with Clinical, PMO, and MSI teams to translate new business use cases into technical mobile configurations.
Level 3 Escalation: Act as the final point of technical authority for complex Knox or MDM-related incidents, providing root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
Security & Audit: Work alongside Security teams to implement industry best practices; lead technical walkthroughs for audit reviews and enterprise governance compliance.
