We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to provide architectural and hands-on leadership across AWS and Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Terraform, modern CI/CD practices, and multi-cloud architecture, with a proven ability to lead infrastructure automation initiatives from design through implementation.
This role requires both strategic architecture capability and deep technical execution. The Lead DevOps Engineer will standardize infrastructure patterns, champion Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms that support application and data workloads.

Must have:
● 7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles.
● Advanced expertise in Terraform (modules, workspaces, remote state, versioning).
● Hands-on experience designing and maintaining production environments in AWS and Azure.
● Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and automation tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).
● Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
● Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.
● Solid grasp of cloud networking, identity, and security (IAM, Azure AD, VPC/VNet, load balancing, etc.).
● Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions clearly.

Nice to have:
● Experience managing multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
● Experience integrating monitoring and observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
● Background in infrastructure cost optimization and cloud governance.
● Prior experience leading or mentoring engineering teams or contractors.

Architecture & Strategy
● Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
● Define Terraform module architecture, code standards, and environment lifecycle strategies.
● Provide architectural guidance on DevOps patterns, CI/CD frameworks, and cloud governance.
● Evaluate and implement automation, observability, and security tools to improve platform reliability.
● Drive consistency and reusability of DevOps solutions across multiple projects and teams.

Leadership & Collaboration
● Serve as a technical lead and mentor to DevOps and cloud engineers.
● Partner with product and cloud development teams and IT operations teams to define and implement best practices.
● Review Terraform code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud configurations to ensure quality, compliance, and maintainability.
● Establish and enforce standards for cloud resource management, naming, tagging, and cost optimization.

Implementation & Automation
● Build and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure for both AWS and Azure environments.
● Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar.
● Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and/or ECS.
● Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management of environments.
● Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, Grafana, etc.).
● Enforce security best practices across environments (IAM roles, secrets management, policies, network controls).
