Key Responsibilities

Payroll Accounting & Reconciliation

Actuarial valuation support, cordination with HR and consultant on key assumptions

Record payroll journal entries in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Reconcile payroll related balance sheet accounts (wages payable, benefits accruals, taxes)

Support period-end and year-end close activities related to payroll

Technical Accounting & Compliance

Monitor regulatory changes and assess accounting impact

Prepare payroll-related financial reports and variance analyses

Provide insights on payroll costs, accruals, and liabilities

Assist in budgeting and forecasting payroll expenses

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to enhance process efficiency

Support system implementations or upgrades impacting payroll accounting

Requirements

The Payroll Technical Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and reporting of payroll-related transactions. This role bridges payroll operations and finance by providing technical accounting expertise, supporting statutory compliance, and maintaining robust controls over payroll accounting processes.
