Description

Our team is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to help improve and expand our test automation capabilities. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to focus on building out our test suites to ensure product quality and help increase our team’s velocity.
The primary focus of this role will be developing and implementing end-to-end (E2E) tests for our web applications. Ideally, this role will also contribute to our broader testing strategy, which may include unit testing for both our frontend and backend services.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern web automation and be enthusiastic about leveraging AI tools like browser-use for test creation.

Experience with our stack (React, Angular, Vue.js, Python) is a significant plus and will be highly valued.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Modern E2E Testing: Solid hands-on experience developing test automation suites with modern frameworks (where tools like Playwright or Cypress are highly valued), alongside a keen interest or practical experience in using AI-driven testing tools like browser-use.
• Web Automation Experience: Experience in testing modern web applications (React, Angular, Vue, etc.) and a good understanding of HTML, CSS, and asynchronous web operations.
• CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI is a plus).
• Programming Fundamentals: Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
• Proactive & Detail-Oriented: A proactive approach to identifying potential issues and a strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-Haves (Bonus Points)
Mobile Testing: Experience with mobile test automation frameworks like Appium or Detox.
Broader Test Experience: Familiarity with other types of testing, such as unit testing (Jest, Pytest), component testing, or API testing.
Our Tech Stack: Experience with any part of our wider stack is a plus: Angular, React, Vue.js, Python (Flask, FastAPI), C#, Rust, React Native

Job responsibilities

• Framework Development: Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our automated testing framework, integrating modern AI-driven tools alongside traditional frameworks.
• End-to-End Testing: Author, execute, and maintain a comprehensive suite of E2E tests for our web platform, focusing on critical user journeys.
• Improve Test Coverage: Work with the team to strategically identify and prioritize key areas of the application to increase test coverage.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand new features, define test strategies, and assist in triaging and debugging test failures.
• Quality Assurance: Promote and follow best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
