We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our product team. In this role, you will have complete end-to-end ownership of the application infrastructure: from building and scaling to day-to-day operational support, leveraging a centralized GCP platform.

Requirements
- Experience: 3–5+ years of proven commercial experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering environment.
- GCP Expertise: In-depth technical knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem (specifically GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, DNS, Load Balancing, Secret Manager).
- Terraform: Hands-on experience in production-grade environments (modular repositories, multi-environment setups, Plan/Apply within automated CI/CD workflows).
- Kubernetes: Solid understanding of K8s fundamentals (Networking, Ingress, RBAC, Operators, Storage).
- Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting capabilities in Shell/Bash.
- Networking Knowledge: Foundational understanding of enterprise network protocols and topologies.
- Observability: Familiarity with modern enterprise monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Datadog, GCP Monitoring/Logging).
- English: Fluent English communication skills for daily interaction.
- Availability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Nice to Have:
- Programming experience in Golang.
- Professional proficiency in German.
Job responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build, operate, and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP using Terraform (leveraging centrally managed modules and automated pipelines).
- CI/CD Management: Establish, configure, and optimize robust application deployment pipelines within GitLab CI/CD.
- Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage core K8s resources (Deployments, RBAC, Networking, Policies, Upgrades) and oversee releases using Helm.
- Security & Integration: Enforce a secure-by-default approach across all layers (IAM, Secrets, Networking, TLS). Seamlessly integrate and utilize core platform services (Logging, Secrets Management, VPC, DNS).
- Day-to-Day Operations: Provide operational support, including incident response, proactive infrastructure maintenance, and analyzing performance bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the centralized Platform Engineering team to align on governance policies and shared Terraform modules.
