GlobalLogic is looking for technology game changers to support one of our Tier 1 customers in driving a fundamental transformation within the automotive industry.
We are looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our team in Wroclaw in a hybrid working model. The team is responsible for designing, building, automating, and operating container platforms and API infrastructure.
You will work with a fleet of Amazon EKS and Red Hat OpenShift clusters, spanning cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure at manufacturing sites. Your focus will be on reliability, security, automation, and cost efficiency, enabling application teams to deploy and operate workloads quickly and securely.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Kubernetes, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
- Hands-on production experience with Amazon EKS and/or OpenShift.
- Strong experience with Terraform and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and Helm.
- Solid knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, VPC networking, load balancing, and EC2.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and container fundamentals.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions and scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Understanding of platform security, secrets management, certificate management, identity integration, and observability.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Kong API Gateway or similar API management platforms.
- Experience in cloud cost optimization and FinOps.
- AWS or Red Hat OpenShift certifications.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments or multi-account AWS architectures.
Job responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS and OpenShift across development, testing, acceptance, and production environments.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, including reusable modules and automated plan and apply pipelines.
- Manage platform components and add-ons using GitOps with ArgoCD and Helm, including developing and maintaining internal Helm charts.
- Manage and optimize node provisioning and autoscaling using Karpenter.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions.
- Manage platform observability in Datadog, including monitors as code, alert quality, and production troubleshooting.
- Strengthen platform security through secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, External Secrets), IAM/IRSA, network policies, certificate management, and runtime security tooling.
- Contribute to cluster modernization and technology lifecycle management.
