Description

As the Business Analyst for the Data Platform, you will be the vital link between our business stakeholders and the technical engineering team. You will be responsible for translating high-level business goals into clear, actionable requirements that will shape the development of our new analytics dashboards. Your work will ensure that the final product is not just technically sound, but that it delivers meaningful and impactful insights to the business.

Requirements

Required Skills (Must-Haves)

– Business Process Analysis: Proven experience in analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
– Requirements Engineering: Strong skills in writing clear and concise user stories and requirements documents.
– Data Literacy: Good understanding of database (DB) concepts, schemas, and data relationships.
– SQL: Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data exploration and validation.
– BI Knowledge: Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) concepts and experience working on BI or data warehousing projects.

– Hands-on Tableau Experience: Ability to build proof-of-concept reports and perform data exploration directly in Tableau.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

– Agile Certification: Formal certification in an Agile methodology, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
– Data Governance Familiarity: Understanding of data governance principles.

– Proficiency in GenAI tools usage.

Job responsibilities

– Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements
– Translate to Technical Needs: Convert business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications for the data engineers and BI developer.
– Data Mapping & Analysis: Create source-to-target mapping documents and use SQL to explore source data, validate business rules, and ensure the technical team understands the data’s context.
– Dashboard Collaboration: Work closely with the BI Developer to design intuitive and effective Tableau dashboards that directly address the defined business questions.
– Facilitate Communication: Act as the primary communication bridge, ensuring there is a shared understanding between all project members and stakeholders.

– Collaboaration with Architect defining solution architecture and specifications

– Work closely with PM/Scrum master supporting Sprints/PIs plannings
