Requirements

We are looking for a Lead SDET Engineer with strong automation expertise to lead quality engineering efforts for Generative AI and Agentic AI applications. The role involves designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks, leading a QA team, and ensuring end-to-end quality for AI-driven platforms including APIs, microservices, and AI model integrations.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in test automation, AI system validation, and modern DevOps-based testing practices, along with strong leadership skills to guide the QA team.

 

Key Responsibilities
Automation & Framework Development

• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for testing GenAI / Agentic AI applications.
• Develop automated tests for APIs, microservices, UI, and AI workflows.
• Build automation for AI prompt testing, response validation, and model output evaluation.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Establish test strategies for LLM-based systems, including functional, regression, and reliability testing.

AI / GenAI Testing

• Define testing approaches for LLM integrations, AI agents, and conversational systems.
• Implement prompt testing, hallucination detection, response consistency validation, and guardrail testing.
• Validate AI model outputs, data pipelines, and agent orchestration workflows.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure model behavior meets product requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and automation engineers.
• Define automation roadmap, test strategy, and quality standards for the project.
• Review test design, automation code, and ensure best practices are followed.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Architects to ensure quality is embedded in the development lifecycle.

 

Job responsibilities

Required Skills
Automation & Testing

• Strong experience with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
• Expertise in API automation (RestAssured, Postman, Karate, or similar).
• Experience in Python / Java / JavaScript for automation development.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

AI / GenAI Testing

• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI architectures.
• Experience validating AI model outputs, prompts, and response quality.
• Familiarity with AI testing tools or frameworks (LangChain testing, prompt evaluation frameworks, etc.).

DevOps & Tools

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of performance testing and reliability testing for distributed systems.
