• Play a key role in the development of the very core of our Design Language System.
• Come up with your own suggestions to technical and/or feature improvements.
• Communicate and collaborate with designers, developers, architects, product managers, and other stakeholders across the global organization. 

Requirements

• A genuine interest in software engineering and UI design, learning, taking responsibility and initiative.
• 3+ years of experience from working with Web-based UI development, including JavaScript (preferably React and TypeScript), and CSS.
• Working knowledge and experience working in an agile environment..
• Excellent verbal and written English skills as the company language is English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar).
  Previous experience of working with Design Systems, Figma, Figma Plugin/Widget/REST API, and Node are a plus.

Job responsibilities

You will join the cross-functional Core Design Language System team which designs, develops and spearheads adoption of, a modern Design Language System that enables consistency and efficiency in UI design and development across the organization as well as bridges the gap between design and development. Your role as an engineer in this team are to build out the core assets (UI components) as well as tools (Node scripts, GitHub actions, Figma plugins/widgets, etc.) required to enable designers and developers to both adopt and be satisfied with the Design Language System. We work in a SaaS environment, using primarily React, CSS, and TypeScript on the development side, Figma and Token Studio on the design side, and Astro and Markdown/YAML on the documentation side. You will report to the Head of Design.
