Position Overview
GlobalLogic is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Lead to spearhead the hardware development, design, and lifecycle management for our strategic healthcare partner, a global leader in Women’s Health (Breast and Skeletal Health imaging technologies).

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical anchor for an engineering pod, collaborating closely with the client’s New Product Development (NPD) teams. You will own the electrical architecture, drive PCB design, optimize the imaging chain, and ensure all systems adhere to strict global medical device compliance standards.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Hardware Design: Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of complex electrical systems, subsystems, and high-density multi-layer Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) for next-generation medical imaging platforms.

Motor Control & Power Electronics: Architect and optimize AC/DC power stages, gate drivers, current sensing, protection circuitry, and precision motor control architectures (including BLDC and Stepper motors) used in mechanical positioning gantries.

Signal Integrity & Imaging Optimization: Analyze and optimize the critical electrical image chain to minimize noise, manage EMI/EMC challenges, and improve system-level performance.

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Design hardware to meet strict international standards, ensuring comprehensive alignment with IEC 60601-1 (Medical Electrical Equipment Safety), IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC), and ISO 14971 (Risk Management).

Design Controls & Documentation: Author and review high-quality engineering documentation, including schematics, design descriptions, risk assessments, and verification protocols, in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.

Account Collaboration & Mentorship: Act as the technical point of contact for the APAC engineering pod. Mentor junior engineers, drive root-cause analysis (CAPA) for technical anomalies, and coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs) for seamless DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in hardware development, with a minimum of 3-4 years acting as a technical lead in a highly regulated industry (Medical Devices strongly preferred; Aerospace or Automotive may be considered).

PCB & EDA Tools: High proficiency with schematic capture and PCB CAD design tools (e.g., OrCAD Allegro, Altium Designer, PADS, or Cadstar).

Hands-on Lab Expertise: Expert-level command of standard electronics laboratory equipment, including digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and function generators.

Regulatory Acumen: Demonstrable experience navigating IEC 60601-1 testing and compliance pathways.

Desirable «Nice-to-Have» Skills
Direct experience with medical X-ray imaging, digital mammography, or bone densitometry systems.

Basic embedded programming/firmware capability (C/C++) or FPGA/VHDL knowledge for design verification testing.

Experience interfacing with offshore delivery models and multi-geography engineering stakeholders.

Soft Skills
Strong technical leadership capability with a proven track record of steering cross-functional hardware/software integration teams.

Exceptional English communication and presentation skills—capable of translating complex hardware constraints to client product owners clearly.

Pragmatic problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail in design documentation.
