Description

The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for driving the technical direction, prioritization, and delivery of a complete product within a cross-functional development environment. Acting as the primary technical contact for product-related activities, the PO ensures alignment between business objectives, platform requirements, and development priorities.

The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, stakeholders, and function teams to manage product backlogs, lead governance forums, and ensure efficient delivery of features and issue resolutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Lead, or similar role in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and product management practices.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and prioritization processes.
  • Strong technical understanding of platforms, applications, and system integrations.
  • Experience leading governance or decision-making forums such as Change Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for all product-related activities.
  • Own and drive the technical direction, roadmap, and prioritization of the product.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, including features, enhancements, and fault reports.
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming functional requests and intake activities.
  • Lead Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and decision-making processes for the platform.
  • Lead CCB meetings and technical decisions for applications and function teams.
  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery plans.
  • Organize and facilitate Agile team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Ensure transparency of product status, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to balance technical feasibility, business value, and customer needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product development and delivery processes.
