We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic product development team. This role is crucial for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance back-end services and APIs that power exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating the back-end ecosystem, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment. This position requires a strong focus on collaboration, code quality, and continuous improvement.
We generally operate with small teams working closely together on a wide variety of projects that range from an apparel design studio in the browser, to onine-enabled mobile web applications. We have products in production today built with a range of platforms.

We are not religious about our technology, but choose the best for the problem. Our web stack today primarily includes Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, .NET , React, and Angular; though we have C and Go in production as well. You are passionate about building highly reliable, efficient, and scalable server-side systems.
You are willing and able to partake in and lead communication with project stakeholders. You should be able to explain technical constraints to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Back-End or Full Stack Software Engineer focused on server-side development.
• Strong proficiency in back-end development using C# and ASP .NET for building scalable and high-performance services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Solid expertise in back-end development using Node.js (including frameworks like Express, NestJS, etc.) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Experience integrating and managing content with Contentful or a similar Headless CMS platform is a nice-to-have.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable back-end software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand user needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Build and maintain eicient, reusable, and reliable back-end services and APIs, focusing on clean architecture and microservices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases, including Headless CMS platforms.
• Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of server-side applications.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and efficiency.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
