The Software Developer in Test is responsible for building and maintaining automated testing tools and suites to ensure the quality of services. This role involves identifying and documenting bugs, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with developers to resolve defects. The position requires reviewing system documentation, supporting quality assurance processes, and continuously improving testing methodologies to deliver reliable outcomes for our partners.

Requirements

Minimum Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies and errors.
• Problem-solving mindset and discipline for executing repetitive processes effectively.
• Experience developing and executing testing plans.
• Ability to identify, document, communicate, and track bugs across teams and products.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Capability to suggest solutions and improvements to testing issues.
• Knowledge in developing, modifying, and enhancing testing strategies as needed.
• Analytical skills to quantify, interpret, and report on testing data, alerts, and metrics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Coding proficiency in JavaScript and at least one of: Python, PHP, or Golang.
• Experience developing, modifying, and designing automated scripts/tests.
• Basic proficiency with SQL for querying and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Linux commands and analysis tools.
• Exposure to developing monitoring processes.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing tools and test suites to support product validation.
• Review system documentation and identify discrepancies, deficiencies, or gaps.
• Detect, document, and track bugs across multiple teams and a diverse product suite.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide detailed bug reports.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to resolve system defects efficiently.
• Work within a defined scope of responsibilities under consistent guidance.
• Participate in code and output reviews, executing recommended actions to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct self-assessments to improve technical skills, testing methodologies, and overall performance.
