Description

Employee Services is one of the internal departments that deal with all general administration, facility, H&S, customs clearance. The Team is spread between a few offices which are located in Szczecin, Koszalin, Gdansk, Bydgoszcz, Lodz, Zielona Gora, Katowice, Krakow, Wroclaw and Zagreb, Croatia. The team is often involved in many local and global topics and projects. The person joining will have a great possibility to be part of a diverse global team and gain knowledge about work of our department in other Globallogic locations.

Requirements

  • Work experience: Minimum of 2 years of work in relevant field – customs clearance (export/import, special procedures)
  • Upper-intermediate English level in writing, reading, speaking.
  • Practical experience in working with documents or knowing the basic foundation of documentation management: creation and preparation of official documents, organization of documentation flow and storage.
  • Skills in information search and systematization.
  • Personal qualities:
  • Analytical skills. Able to make well-founded decisions; customer focus; excelent communication skills; self organized

Job responsibilities

  • Process shipments and collect sent post related to the employee’s tasks
  • Contact Customs Agencies and courier companies when processing customs export/import parcels
  • Participate in ordering and invoicing
  • Properly track all customs cases in dedicated files and folders
  • Perform data entry for customs declarations under the supervision of senior specialists.
  • Work on any other administrative tasks related to the employee’s tasks
  • Prepare and submit import/export customs declarations.
  • Determine the correct tariff classifications (HS codes) for goods being shipped.
  • Calculate customs duties, taxes, and other applicable fees.
  • Negotiate conditions and services with contractors and other service providers when needed
  • Create and update policies and instructions related to customs clearance with the support of a senior staff member
  • Participate in internal meetings when appointed
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customs agencies on routine clearance matters.
