Description:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, as well as experience with AWS cloud and on-premises environments. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to support our organization’s data needs across various platforms.

The company’s solutions are used to streamline, automate and manage processes involving payments, invoicing, global cash management, supply chain finance and transactional documents. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle (version 19с and higher) and PostgreSQL (version 12 and higher) databases;
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM;
  • Familiarity with on-premises database environments, including server hardware, storage, and network infrastructure;
  • Strong knowledge of database concepts, architecture, and administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security;
  • Experience with database migration, replication, and integration between Oracle and PostgreSQL databases;
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages for automation and database management tasks;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty);
    Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases;
    Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database systems, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning;
  • Design and implement database solutions for both AWS cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability;
  • Monitor database health and performance, proactively identify and address issues, and optimize database performance to meet business requirements;
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data migration, replication, and integration solutions between different database platforms;
  • Develop and maintain database documentation, including system specifications, configurations, and procedures;
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues and incidents;
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to database management, cloud computing, and data architecture.
