Description

The project is part of a large-scale digitalization initiative for a leading European energy provider. We are building a scalable IIoT platform using Ignition, aimed at connecting field assets, standardizing telemetry, and enabling real-time analytics. We are looking for a skilled CODESYS Developer to join the integration team. As part of the OT/automation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful rollout and support of automation systems in production environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar position
• Hands-on experience in CODESYS PLC programming
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 languages: Structured Text (ST), Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC)
• Experience with industrial controllers such as WAGO, Beckhoff, Siemens, ABB, etc.
• Familiarity with communication protocols: MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, etc 
• Solid understanding of industrial automation and IIoT concepts
• Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
• Ability to read and write technical documentation
• Experience working in Kanban environments (nice to have)
• Strong teamwork skills and solution-oriented mindset

Job responsibilities

• Develop and configure PLC software using CODESYS
• Integrate PLCs with SCADA systems and IIoT gateways
• Simulate and test PLC logic in a virtual environment
• Implement and support data communication via MQTT, OPC UA, and Modbus TCP/RTU
• Maintain and extend existing automation solutions
• Contribute to the design of scalable IIoT architectures
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, SCADA, Business Analysts, client stakeholders)
