Description

We are partnering with a global leader in medical devices to develop the next-generation cutting-edge tool used during hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Client provides surgeons with real-time visualization and measurement capabilities by superimposing virtual tools on X-ray images, enabling precise clinical decision-making. The product will help surgers to plan and to validate the procedures by analyzing 2D images from X-Rays, CT, MRI and building 3D objects.

Our goal is to enhance the product’s capabilities, improving workflow efficiency and advancing surgical outcomes. This project will involve refining requirements, designing intuitive interfaces, and integrating advanced visualization tools to meet the highest clinical standards. Join us in shaping the future of minimally invasive orthopedic surgery.  #LI-OK4

Requirements

  • Experience & Education: 7+ years in Business Analysis or Product Management on complex software projects. Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, CS, or a related clinical field is preferred.
  • Gherkin/BDD Expertise: Required: Advanced proficiency in writing requirements in Gherkin format. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality scenarios quickly.
  • PO Mindset: Demonstrable experience acting as a proxy-Product Owner. Experience with roadmapping, backlog grooming, and strategic planning in an Agile/Scrum environment is essential.
  • Medical Domain Knowledge: Experience with medical imaging (CT, MRI, X-Ray), image processing, or surgical navigation systems is a massive plus. Understanding of hip arthroscopy or FAI pathology is highly desirable.
  • Proactivity & Leadership: Strong history of „owning“ the solution. You must be a self-starter who identifies process bottlenecks and fixes them without waiting for permission.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical and clinical information to diverse audiences. You must be comfortable leading workshops and presentations for surgeons and executives.
  • Tooling: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, specifically for managing traceability and documentation.

Job responsibilities

  • Senior Business Analyst acting as a Product Owner who will own the requirements lifecycle. You will drive the product vision, ensuring the system reflects clinical needs while establishing a rapid, standardized flow for requirement definition.
  • Requirements Ownership & Gherkin Mastery: Rapidly translate complex clinical needs and surgical workflows into precise, testable requirements using Gherkin syntax (BDD). You must be able to write user stories and scenarios fast without sacrificing clarity.
  • Process Architecture: Take full ownership of the requirements gathering process. Analyze, audit, and refine our current approach to requirements engineering to increase velocity and reduce ambiguity.
  • Product Ownership & Strategy: Act with a Product Owner mindset. Move beyond simple „order taking“ to actively shape the product roadmap, manage the backlog, and make tough prioritization decisions based on clinical value and technical feasibility.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Drive and facilitate communication with the client. You are not just a liaison; you are a partner who challenges assumptions, negotiates scope, and drives consensus among surgeons (KOLs), engineers, and executives.
  • Clinical & Imaging Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of FAI surgery workflows (pre-op to post-op) and medical imaging data (X-Ray, CT, MRI, 3D models). Ensure requirements account for 2D/3D visualization nuances and specific surgical navigation needs.
  • Risk & Ambiguity Management: Proactively identify gaps in logic or clinical safety risks early in the process. You are responsible for mitigating ambiguity before it reaches the development team.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers for intuitive surgical interfaces and with Architects to ensure technical feasibility. Lead design reviews to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all requirements and roadmaps align with medical device regulations (FDA, CE) and data standards (DICOM, HL7).
