Description

As an Integration Architect, you will design and govern the connectivity strategy across our global enterprise. You will act as the bridge between legacy systems and modern cloud applications, utilizing both MuleSoft and Boomi. While your core focus is robust API management and ETL, you will lead an AI-first approach by optimizing our integration layer to support emerging AI workflows and using AI-assisted tools to accelerate the development lifecycle.

Requirements

Technical Requirements

• MuleSoft Expertise: Deep experience with Anypoint Platform, CloudHub, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and DataWeave.
• Boomi Expertise: Proven track record with Boomi AtomSphere, Master Data Hub (MDH), and API Management.
• Core Skills: Strong understanding of REST, GraphQL, SOAP, EDI, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace).
• AI Integration: Experience or strong interest in connecting enterprise systems to LLM orchestrators (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, or AWS Bedrock).
• DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Platform/Integration Architect and Boomi Professional Architect.
• Experience: 8+ years in integration, with at least 3 years in a Lead or Architect role managing multi-platform environments.
• Philosophy: You view integration as the foundational layer for all business intelligence and automation.

Job responsibilities

1. Enterprise Integration Strategy

• Dual-Platform Governance: Define the „Right Tool for the Job“ strategy, determining when to leverage MuleSoft’s API-led connectivity versus Boomi’s agility for high-volume data synchronization.
• Architectural Design: Lead the design of scalable, reusable, and secure integration patterns, including synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
• Modernization: Drive the transition from point-to-point integrations to a structured, microservices-oriented ecosystem.

2. AI-First Integration Readiness

• Data Provisioning for AI: Design high-performance pipelines to feed clean, real-time data into enterprise AI models and Vector databases (RAG architecture).
• AI-Enhanced Development: Utilize Boomi AI and MuleSoft’s Einstein features to automate mapping, document existing interfaces, and generate unit tests to improve time-to-market.
• Intelligent Monitoring: Implement AI-driven observability to detect anomalies and predict system bottlenecks before they impact the business.

3. Delivery & Security

• API Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of APIs, from RAML/OAS design to deployment and deprecation.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all integrations adhere to strict security protocols (OAuth, JWT, TLS) and data privacy regulations (GDPR, SOC2).
• Mentorship: Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in DataWeave (MuleSoft) and Groovy scripting (Boomi).
