Description
The client is one of the largest banks in the UK. We are looking for a Mid-level AQA Engineer to support the testing of complex new features being developed for our web-based White Label Application, which are subsequently delivered to existing clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in QA automation, ideally within web-based applications
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar UI automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of test planning, including writing test plans and feature files from acceptance criteria
- Experience with defect tracking and management tools, particularly Jira
- Working knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD integration
- Familiarity with observability and log analysis tools, such as DataDog
- Experience with Gen AI tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, OpenAI) for test creation, analysis or automation support
- Understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, exploratory testing)
- Ability to assess defect impact and prioritize based on business risk
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across multiple squads/teams
- Good level of English

Job responsibilities
- Test Planning: Translate PO acceptance criteria into test plans and feature files; confirm criteria before execution
- Test Execution & Reporting: Execute tests across the White Label Application and report results to stakeholders
- Defect Management: Log and track defects in Jira, assessing impact and severity across the application
- UI Automation: Build and maintain Playwright-based automation, integrated into GitHub CI/CD pipelines
- Observability: Analyze logs in DataDog to support defect investigation and root cause analysis
- Gen AI: Use tools like Co-Pilot and OpenAI to accelerate test creation, analysis, and reporting
- Collaboration: Communicate across multiple squads to deliver high-quality features at pace
