Description

GlobalLogic is looking for a Software Engineer to join a dedicated team delivering a high-fidelity medical technology platform. This role is designed for a developer with a primary focus on backend services and cloud infrastructure, contributing to the development of a multi-region SaaS architecture. While your core strengths should lie in backend logic and cloud environments, you will also have the opportunity to support Vue.js frontend tasks as needed to ensure end-to-end feature delivery.

Requirements

•  2+ years of experience in software development.
• Solid foundation in Node.js or Python development.
•  Working experience with AWS services and an understanding of multi-region architectures.
•  Basic familiarity with Vue.js or other frontend framework; willingness to learn and contribute to frontend tasks when necessary.
•  Proven ability to handle day-to-day implementation tasks and manage individual ticket assignments effectively.
• Familiarity with delivering software for regulated environments (e.g., medical devices or healthcare) is highly preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate within a distributed engineering team.

Job responsibilities

• Implement and maintain scalable backend logic using Node.js and Python-based services.
•  Support the development and optimization of services hosted within AWS environments.
•  Contribute to Vue.js (2 & 3) frontend tasks when required to support the usability and tech debt workstreams.
•  Own the day-to-day implementation of tasks within the project backlog, focusing on backend reliability and API performance.
•  Assist in establishing performance baselines and improving service observability across the platform.
•  Ensure all code contributions adhere to strict quality standards for regulated product delivery within the healthcare sector.
•  Pair with senior engineers on complex tickets and participate in rotations to support infrastructure and platform work.
