-Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Platform Lead with strong expertise in Platform Engineering, Kubernetes, Linux, and Infrastructure Automation. The ideal candidate should have prior hands-on Platform Engineering experience, strong coding and debugging skills, and the ability to perform code-level development using Python and Ansible. The candidate should possess a good understanding of platform architecture, provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive delivery excellence. Strong troubleshooting skills in Kubernetes, Linux, and platform infrastructure, along with effective communication for technical discussions with all internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Platform Engineering team in designing, developing, and supporting scalable Linux-based platform solutions.
• Perform hands-on code development, code reviews, debugging, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and technical problem-solving.
• Design, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, and platform services.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and Helm, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Gerrit.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Networking, Application Deployment, Performance, and High Availability, ensuring platform reliability and operational excellence.
• Understand the overall platform architecture, review technical designs, and provide technical guidance across platform components.
• Drive platform engineering best practices, infrastructure automation, deployment standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor Platform Engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, knowledge sharing and competency development.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex platform issues and participate in Tier-2 technical discussions and customer interactions when required.
