Description

Our Client provides engineering web platforms for colleges and professional sports leagues including content creation, streaming services, subscriptions, ticketing, and marketing. They are a full-service technology solutions firm specializing in Web, App, OTT, e-commerce, Video, Data and Digital Marketing platforms and services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in manual software testing for complex, data-driven web applications.
• Demonstrated experience testing user-facing platforms, admin tools, and API-integrated systems.
• Proven ability to create detailed, structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with product requirements.
• Deep knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and UI testing.
• Strong experience testing SPA (Single Page Applications), especially with Vue.js/jQuery frontends.
• Skilled at testing CMS-style tools (e.g., Laravel Nova-based admin interfaces).
• Experience testing REST APIs manually using tools like Postman, including request/response validation and edge case testing.
• Ability to verify data flows and integrity across microservices, APIs, and UI components.
• Basic understanding of browser dev tools, console logs, and network request debugging.
• Experience working with Google Cloud-based applications, Dockerized environments, and basic CI/CD processes.

Job responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and design documents.
• Define and execute testing strategies for complex modules such as User Profiles, Job Listings, Messaging System, and Talent Finder.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing of both user-facing and admin-facing web interfaces (Vue.js + Laravel Nova).
• Manually test API endpoints using tools like Postman, validating response data, error handling, and integrations (e.g., Mailchimp, CollegeSports.jobs).
• Identify, reproduce, and document clear, actionable bug reports in JIRA, collaborating directly with developers and product managers.
• Validate bug fixes and perform retesting in alignment with sprint cycles.
• Verify platform stability across major browsers and devices, ensuring responsive and accessible user experiences.
• Use browser dev tools and console logs to assist in identifying UI or performance issues.
• Validate data accuracy and integrity across modules including profile views, search filters, user exports, and admin-generated content.
• Test complex workflows such as profile claiming, watchlist management, and project-based candidate reviews.
• Perform release validations and sanity checks in staging and production environments.
