Description

This team is dedicated to advancing next-generation Digital Health solutions that align with our client’s mission and vision of providing Insight-Driven Care. Operating within the Digital Health Applications & Interoperability subgroup, this role will focus on patient engagement, care coordination, AI, healthcare analytics, and interoperability. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we aim to enhance our product offerings with new services that improve both clinical workflows and patient experiences.

Requirements

 

1. Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Athena, IAM, KMS, Lake Formation, and DataZone
2. Experience with Terraform
3. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools like GitLab CI
4. Languages: Python, HCL (Terraform),
5. Version Control: GitLab
6. Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, and the ability to model data appropriately for each type
7. Knowledge of data governance principles to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance
8. Proficiency in designing and managing data pipelines using ETL tools and frameworks
9. Experience with monitoring and ensuring the reliability and performance of data systems
10. Understanding of serverless computing concepts
11. Security & Compliance best practices for sensitive data processing

 

 

MUST HAVE
– Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation – Proven ability to write and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

– AWS Platform: Working experience with AWS services – in particular serverless architectures (S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, etc…)

– CI/CD Tools: experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools

– Scripting and automation: experience in scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, etc…

– Containerization and Orchestration: experience with Docker, AWS EKS, Kubernetes for container management & orchestration

– Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring, logging & visualization tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, etc…

– Source Code Management: Expertise with git commands and associated VCS (Gitlab, Github, Gitea or similar)

– Documentation: Experience with AsciiDocs or markdown and for creating technical documentation

 

 

NICE TO HAVE
– Previous Healthcare or Medical Device experience

– Experience working with Healthcare Data, including HL7v2, FHIR and DICOM

– Building software classified as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)

– Experience implementing enterprise-grade cyber security & privacy by design into software products

– Experience working in Digital Health software

– Experience developing global applications

– Strong understanding of SDLC – Waterfall & Agile methodologies

– Software estimation

– Experience leading software development teams onshore and offshore

Job responsibilities

The IT DataOps Engineer will:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows using AWS services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
• Monitor and ensure data observability to maintain data quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure
• Provide technical guidance, direction, and governance within the product team
• Hands on development and coding
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes in the DevOps domain.

– Ensure seamless deployments of teams infrastructure from version control systems to AWS environments.

– Create and manage reusable infrastructure templates to reduce deployment time and improve consistency

– Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across all stages of development ranging from build, testing, linting and deployment.

– Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting compliance and security standards.

– Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements

– Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

– May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.

– May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.

– Function Specific: Strategically design technology solutions that meet the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users.

– Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or if a customized solution would be required.
