Description

We are seeking a skilled Test Object Specialist to join our team.

The team consists of 6 individual working from Gothenburg (5) and Krakow (1). We are now looking for a person to join our client’s premises in Lund.
As the lone Lund representative of this team, you’ll be expected to ensure the quality of test object preparation for the internal clients (testing and development teams). To function in this role, you have to be organized and used to stakeholder management, ensuring alignment on expectations across multiple stakeholders.

The focus of this role is to ensure operational excellence in building, maintaining, and supporting test rigs and infotainment test vehicles. These rigs and vehicles are critical for fast feedback loops for software developers and serve as essential platforms for internal validation and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive system validation, preferably with infotainment or vehicle network domains.
  • Proficient in vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience with test tools: CANalyzer, CANoe, Vector tools, or dSPACE environments.
  • Strong understanding of HiL testing, test rig configuration, and system integration testing.
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, ECU architecture, and control software fundamentals.
  • Experience using diagnostic protocols like UDS, OBD-II for fault tracing and root cause analysis.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to multi-site project support or coordination across distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or similar for test automation and data analysis.
  • Experience working in infotainment or HMI systems validation.
  • Knowledge of automotive test vehicle operations, workshop tools, and HW/SW co-debugging.
  • Understanding of ECU flashing tools, SW release validation, or in-car testing procedures.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain manual infotainment test rigs used by software developers, suppliers, and stakeholders for short-loop code validation on actual hardware.
  • Ensure test vehicles are always in a functional state through software updates, hardware troubleshooting, and ongoing system validation.
  • Provide cross-site support for the growing number of rigs and vehicles, collaborating with multiple engineering locations as needed.
  • Maintain and configure test bench setups, integrating ECUs, HMI units, and interfaces using automotive buses like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Perform system-level testing and validation using tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, and Vector VT systems.
  • Use diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD-II) to trace faults and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Implement test automation and data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages.
  • Act as a workshop-level support resource, providing hardware and software troubleshooting on-site.
  • Contribute to the deployment of new technologies for rig architecture and future test vehicle platforms.
