About the Role
We are looking for an Automation Triage Engineer to investigate automated test failures, identify root causes, and work with development and test teams to drive issues toward resolution.
The role combines test execution, failure analysis, defect investigation, and AI-assisted troubleshooting. The ideal candidate can distinguish between product defects, test issues, infrastructure problems, and environmental failures, while using modern AI tools to accelerate analysis and create practical workflows when needed.
Experience : ~5 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute automated test suites across platforms, configurations, and environments.
• Monitor test results and identify failures, regressions, and recurring issues.
• Analyze logs, error messages, screenshots, videos, traces, and other diagnostic information.
• Use AI-assisted techniques to summarize failures, identify patterns, compare logs, suggest root causes, and accelerate triage.
• Use tools such as Claude, GPT, or comparable AI assistants responsibly to support investigation and technical decision-making.
• Validate AI-generated analysis against test evidence rather than treating it as definitive.
• Classify failures as product, automation, infrastructure, configuration, network, or environment-related.
• Reproduce failures and isolate the conditions under which they occur.
• Investigate intermittent and non-deterministic test failures.
• Create clear and detailed defect reports with reproduction steps, evidence, logs, and impact information.
• Review existing defects to identify duplicates, related failures, and recurring patterns.
• Work closely with software developers, test automation engineers, and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Verify fixes by rerunning relevant tests and confirming expected results.
• Identify unstable or low-value automated tests and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop lightweight scripts, checklists, prompts, or workflow improvements when required to make triage more efficient.
• Create practical AI-assisted workflows based on the needs of the team and the type of failure being investigated.
• Maintain accurate investigation notes, failure records, and resolution status.
• Participate in release-readiness reviews and communicate testing risks clearly.
• Contribute to test strategy, failure-analysis guidelines, and team best practices.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience investigating automated test failures.
• Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles.
• Ability to read and understand test scripts and basic programming code.
• Experience with Python programming language.
• Experience working with test automation frameworks.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze logs and technical diagnostic data.
• Experience creating clear, reproducible defect reports.
• Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
• Intermediate AI fluency, including practical experience using Claude, GPT, or similar AI assistants for investigation, summarization, troubleshooting, and workflow development.
• Ability to evaluate AI output critically and verify it using technical evidence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and accountability for assigned work.
• A go-getter attitude with the initiative to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive tasks through completion.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with UI, integration, system, or end-to-end testing.
• Experience with pytest, Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
• Experience troubleshooting CI/CD test failures.
• Familiarity with Linux or command-line environments.
• Experience testing web, mobile, embedded, or connected-device products.
• Experience analyzing intermittent failures and test flakiness.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking and test-management tools.
• Experience creating small automation scripts or repeatable workflows to reduce manual triage effort.
