Extensive Leadership Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to technical leadership, delivery management, and managing engineering teams.
Technical Acumen and Influence: Ability to engage credibly with and influence diverse technical stakeholders, including challenging proposed solutions and establishing technical direction.
Physical AI Domain Expertise:
Understanding general-purpose electronics, breadboarding, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32), and integrating sensors with software.
Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens) / understanding basic industrial protocols.
Robotics & Autonomy Savvy: Understanding / some experience with things that move autonomously – whether that is rovers, drones, custom kinematics, or ROS (Robot Operating System) environments.
Experience with Python, C++.
Delivery and SDLC Mastery: Deep understanding and practical application of modern SDLC methodologies, including Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and scalable distributed system design.
Team Leadership: Deep understanding of cross cultural aspects and experience working with global teams.
Executive Communication: Exceptional analytical, conflict-resolution, and communication skills required to interface effectively with both engineering teams and executive audiences across global time zones.
GTM Support / Pre-sales /Solutioning: Partnering with the GTM team to estimate costs, timelines, and technical feasibility for prospective clients.
Offerings Development: Creating “packaged” services to make the service easier to buy.
Delivery leadership & Delivery Excellence: Drive the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams.
Technical Governance: Define and maintain engineering standards, architecture guidelines, and code quality practices. Collaborate with architects to ensure scalability, security, and compliance with policies and guardrails.
Cross-Team Alignment: Manage dependencies across internal and external teams. Lead coordination of milestones, risks, and change management to maintain synchronization across all partners.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as a senior engineering counterpart for client stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accountability, and clear communication on progress, blockers, and technical decisions.
Resource & Capacity Planning: Own capacity planning and workload distribution across engineering domains. Anticipate resource constraints, propose mitigation plans, and support staffing decisions.
Quality & Risk Management: Monitor engineering performance through metrics and KPIs. Identify risks early, ensure mitigation steps are tracked, and maintain quality assurance across all deliverables.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promote automation, reusable components, and AI-assisted engineering practices. Encourage continuous improvement through lessons learned and engineering retrospectives.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build and nurture a strong engineering culture. Provide mentorship to technical leads and senior engineers, fostering growth, ownership, and accountability.
