About the project. We’re building MVP-stage software for a CRO (clinical research organisation) that handles risk assessment for new study proposals. The client is technically smart, is focused on fast development, and already has a clear vision for the product’s future. There are multiple integrations with existing systems from day one, so the BA needs to be comfortable with complexity from the start, not just process documentation.

Must have:
– 5+ years as a BA in software/IT, at least some of that in regulated or compliance-adjacent domains (clinical, pharma, fintech, insurance).
– Solid experience with integration projects – you understand what a REST API is, can read a sequence diagram.
– Hands-on Jira usage – backlog management, sprint planning support, epic structure, linking requirements to test cases.
– Confident writing in English: requirements docs, user stories, emails with the client. (English B2+)
– Experience on an MVP or greenfield product.
– Strong stakeholder communication: you can push back when a requirement is ambiguous and do it diplomatically.
Nice-to-have:
– Any exposure to clinical trial workflows, CTMS, EDC, or regulatory documentation processes – you don’t need to be a domain expert but you shouldn’t be starting from zero.
– Understanding of AI product thinking – what it means to design for an AI-augmented workflow, what kinds of requirements look different when the core logic is probabilistic.
– Experience writing or reviewing API contracts and data dictionaries.
– Familiarity with Confluence or equivalent for knowledge management.
– Some exposure to risk frameworks or structured decision tools – even if from a different industry.

Job Responsibilities
– Working closely with a technically smart client to elicit, structure, and prioritise requirements – they’ll expect precise language and will push back on vague specifications.
– Defining and documenting integration requirements with existing clinical/research systems (APIs, data flows, field mappings – the full picture, not just a list of endpoints).
– Owning the backlog in Jira: writing stories, managing epics, keeping acceptance criteria actionable and testable.
– Participating in architecture and scoping discussions, not just translating them afterwards.
– Identifying gaps and risks early.
– Producing clean, versioned documentation that engineers and product alike can navigate without asking questions
