The company is a leading provider of innovative broadband solutions that deliver video, voice and data to communications providers around the world. GL team participates in development, QA and support of several generations of these solutions.
The project is about developing the new software-based network equipment which provides access to Internet/IPTV/VoIP services using powerful servers.
It is an innovative solution for Internet Service Providers which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of huge number of hardware network equipment. Currently there are no competitors to this project in the world and Customer offers the opportunity to be at the beginning of the rapid development of the product and the opportunity to take their place in a fast-paced engineering team.

Technical Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience building scalable backend services
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Skills, agent mode, BMAD method)
- Proven experience developing web applications in Python
- Practical experience with Django/Flask/FastAPI, or similar web frameworks
- Experience building microservice-based architectures
- Strong knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and JWT
- Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Docker and basic understanding of Kubernetes
Other Requirements
- Advanced English proficiency — both verbal and written, comfortable in direct customer-facing interactions
- Willingness and ability to travel when needed
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Nice to Have
- Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Next.js and React ecosystem
- Understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and frontend best practices
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development
- Experience with Pytest or other testing frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and workflows involving Git/GitHub and Jira
- Experience with design systems or UI component libraries
- Experience with networking concepts and related test equipment
職務内容
The application is an AI-based tool for network monitoring, currently transitioning to a microservices architecture. The backend is implemented primarily in Python, the persistent layer is built on MongoDB, and the frontend is in Next.js. As a backend developer, you will design and implement cloud-based backend services, collaborating closely with other backend engineers through design discussions and code reviews. You will work with the QA team to present and validate new features, and coordinate with frontend developers on integration points when needed. Your responsibilities will include developing new features, maintaining clear documentation, improving overall code quality, and writing automated tests. You will also support your teammates through code reviews, help investigate customer-reported issues, and debug problems in test and production environments.
