About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead – Java + React + Azure to join our team and work with a leading client in the e-commerce domain. The role will involve providing technical leadership, designing scalable solutions, and driving the development of modern full-stack applications using Java, React, and Microsoft Azure.
Experience with e-commerce platforms and technologies such as commercetools, Algolia Search, and Contentful CMS will be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack e-commerce applications using Java, React, and Azure.
- Provide technical leadership to the development team and guide engineers on design, development, and coding best practices.
- Design and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
- Lead frontend development using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Define and review technical architecture, application design, integration patterns, and development standards.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Drive integration between frontend, backend, third-party systems, and e-commerce platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure quality, security, scalability, and maintainability of solutions.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, DevOps, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and performance bottlenecks and drive their resolution.
- Mentor and support developers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
- Participate in estimation, sprint planning, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Support CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
- Work directly with the client and provide technical recommendations and solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and REST APIs.
- Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure cloud services.
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API design, and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience designing scalable and high-performing applications for the e-commerce/retail domain.
- Good experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, clean code, SOLID principles, and software architecture.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with experience working in a client-facing environment.
Good to Have
- Experience with commercetools platform.
- Experience with Algolia Search.
- Experience with Contentful CMS.
- Knowledge of e-commerce functionalities such as product catalog, search, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, orders, and payments.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka / Azure Service Bus.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience designing and integrating third-party APIs and external e-commerce services.
