About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise SAS platform landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of SAS environments running across Linux, IBM AIX, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
The role includes administration of SAS Foundation, SAS Data Integration Studio (SAS DI), and SAS Visual Analytics (SAS VA), ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the SAS ecosystem. You will work closely with infrastructure, database, and application teams to support data integration, analytics, and reporting services.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAS platforms across Linux, AIX, and Windows environments.
Manage and support SAS components, including:
SAS Foundation
SAS Data Integration Studio (SAS DI)
SAS Visual Analytics (SAS VA)
Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
Perform platform upgrades, patches, migrations, and recovery activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to SAS applications, operating systems, and infrastructure.
Administer SAS Metadata Server, user access, authentication, and security policies.
Collaborate with database administrators and application teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting processes.
Optimize SAS platform performance and batch processing workloads.
Support backup, recovery, and business continuity operations.
Create and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and system standards.
Participate in operational support and on-call activities as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience as a SAS Administrator in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with:
SAS Administration
SAS Data Integration Studio (SAS DI)
SAS Visual Analytics (SAS VA)
Experience with SAS platform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of SAS metadata management and security administration.
Experience supporting SAS environments on:
Linux
IBM AIX
Microsoft Windows Server
Experience with scripting and automation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAS Grid environments.
Experience with SAS Viya.
Knowledge of cloud platforms and container technologies.
Understanding of high-availability, clustering, and disaster recovery concepts.
Experience with enterprise authentication and authorization solutions such as LDAP, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
Familiarity with enterprise scheduling and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
