Description

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

7–10 years of experience working with Atlassian tools, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.

Strong expertise in Jira Software (Cloud/Data Center), Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket.

Proficiency in scripting and automation (ScriptRunner, Groovy, PowerShell, Python, or REST API).

Experience with integration of Atlassian tools with CI/CD pipelines, identity management, and third-party applications.

Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, ITIL, and DevOps practices.

Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications (e.g., ACP-610, ACP-620, ACP-120).

Experience with cloud migrations (Server/Data Center → Atlassian Cloud).

Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale deployments and performance optimization.

Familiarity with ServiceNow, GitHub, Jenkins, Slack, or other collaboration/dev tools integrations.

Job responsibilities

An experienced Atlassian Developer Lead to oversee the design, customization, integration, and governance of our Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.). You will play a key role in shaping how teams use Atlassian tools to support Agile delivery, DevOps, ITSM, and enterprise collaboration. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to mentor a team of developers and administrators, partner with stakeholders, and drive best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, customization, and administration of the Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Trello, etc.).

Define and enforce best practices, governance, and security standards for Atlassian tool usage across teams.

Design and implement automation, integrations, and workflows using ScriptRunner, Jira Automation, REST APIs, and other Atlassian Marketplace apps.

Collaborate with Agile, DevOps, and ITSM teams to translate business needs into scalable Jira and Confluence solutions.

Oversee migrations, upgrades, and performance tuning of Atlassian applications (on-prem, Data Center, or Cloud).

Drive enterprise-level reporting and dashboards for program, portfolio, and leadership visibility.

Lead and mentor a team of Atlassian developers/administrators, providing technical guidance and coaching.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering Managers, IT Ops) to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Evaluate and recommend Atlassian Marketplace apps, plugins, and integrations that add business value.

Contribute to roadmap planning and adoption of new Atlassian features and practices.
