Job Title: Lead DevOps SRE Engineer

Experience: 8-10 years 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to lead a team of 4-5 DevOps members , design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containerization, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools, and will work closely with development and QA teams to streamline build, deployment, and operations processes.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead , Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI to enable reliable and automated deployments.
2. Manage and administer Linux (RedHat / CentOS) based environments.
3. Provision and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
4. Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Implement version control and branching strategies using Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
6. Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Kafka.
7. Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of applications and infrastructure.
8. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to improve system reliability.
9. Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to improve deployment frequency and system stability.
10. Manage and support databases including MySQL and NoSQL systems from an operations perspective.
11. Track tasks, incidents, and changes using JIRA.
12. Develop automation scripts using Shell and Python to improve operational efficiency.
13. Required Skills & Qualifications
14. 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer / SRE / Cloud Engineer or similar role.
15. Strong experience with Linux administration (RedHat / CentOS).
16. Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
17. Strong proficiency in Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
18. Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI.
19. Solid hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
20. Strong experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
21. Working knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases.
22. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Kafka.
23. Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python.
24. Experience using JIRA or similar tracking tools.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills):

1. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
2. Exposure to security best practices (IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning).
3. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
4. Knowledge of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancers, DNS, firewalls).
5. Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.

ML OPS : Exposure and understanding of ML Ops will be added advantage.
