Client is an authentication system that supports multiple authentication protocols and provides the single sign-on user experience accross BMC and third-party products. Being delivered as SaaS in cloud or On-premises it allows the users to present the credentials only once for authentication and subsequently be automatically authenticated by every product that is integrated within the system. Being so simple for the end-users it requires a sophisticated configuration on the back-end and a high level of an information security. Single Sign-On supports high-availability clusters which is a key factor to avoid single failure point.
The team is mature and uses the best software engineering practicies getting ready for Contnious Delivery- code reviews and static code quiality analysis, pipeline for continious integration, automation testing and deployment, production-ready master branch code.
Software development experience (1-2 years).
Strong Java core knowledge
SQL basics, any RDBMS experience - MS SQL/Oracle/Postgres/MySQL, etc.
Jenkins, Ant, Maven basics
Good English: spoken and written, intermediate
Be flexible in timing
Understanding of and/or experience in authentication domain areas such as SSO, SAML, LDAP, Kerberos, RSA SecurID, CAC/PIV, OAuth, OpenID, etc. is a big plus.
- Docker, Kubernatis, ELK knowledge is a big plus.
Web containers knowledge – Jetty, JBOSS, OSGi, etc.
Knowledge of web security, certificates management.
Knowledge of SDLC; Agile/Scrum work experience.
- Understanding ITSM/helpdesk/servicedesk subject domain.
Docker, Docker Hub, Kubernetes, ELK
- Operate as software engineer in a global scrum team creating sophisticated authentication systems.
- Create and modify the code to implement new features and to address the defects.
- Follow software development best practices.
- Provide technical guidance to the technical support team.
- Work with the clients on complex product issues/escalations.
- Communicate effectively with the local as well as remote team members.
- Participate in releases and iterations planning, on-going scrum activities.
- Report individual efforts & progress.
