Description:
Harmonic is a leading provider of innovative broadband solutions that deliver data, voice and video to communications providers around the world. GL team participates in development and QA of several generation of these solutions.
The Apollo project is about developing the new software-based network equipment which provides access to Internet/IPTV/VoIP services with using powerful servers.
It is an innovative solution for Internet Service Providers which will allow to get rid of the existing HW equipment and to migrate to the cloud, saving customers the enormous expenses for the support of huge number of hardware network equipment. Currently there are no competitors to this project in the world and Customer offers the opportunity to be at the beginning of the rapid development of the product and the opportunity to take their place in a fast-paced engineering team
Requirements:
Experience of 3+ years in SW testing of complex systems (preferable embedded/network equipment)
must have Linux knowledge
Knowledge in networking area (TCP/IP stack).
Upper-intermediate English (writing and speaking).
High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with different groups.
Engineering curiosity
B. Sc. In computer science or Electricity Engineering or equivalent
Problem solver not maker
Would be a plus:
Knowledge in DOCSIS
Data traffic generators (Ixia, iPerf.) and analyzers (Wireshark, Averna)
Script tools/languages (Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
Responsibilities:
Testing End-to-End complex embedded system, which involve HW and SW components
Administration of various server and network equipment which is an environment for tests execution
Preparation and execution extended test scenarios with focus on load/scale/performance/stress aspects
Integration testing of features developed by different Scrum teams
Customer issues reproduction and investigation
Work in agile mode and cooperate with multiple scrum teams as well as with customer
